    Barcelona GSE Affiliated Professors

The academic excellence of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics rests on the talent, enthusiasm and drive of the world-class faculty, which is drawn from leading universities and companies around the world.

More specifically, the Barcelona GSE derives its core strength from the faculty of its four founding academic institutions, which employ over a hundred renowned scholars, some of whom are also affiliated professors at the Barcelona GSE.

Currently there are 149 Barcelona GSE affiliated professors. They are from 24 different countries (44% come from outside Spain). 64 of them have PhDs from US universities, 31 from Spanish ones, and 54 from the rest of Europe. From outside Spain, the universities with the most PhDs among affiliated professors are: London School of Economics (9), University of Minnesota (9), European University Institute (8), Harvard University (7), and University of Pennsylvania (7).

Among the affiliated professors there are Fellows of the Econometric Society, Fellows of the European Economic Association, Research Fellows of the Center for Economic Policy and Research (CEPR), and Research Fellows of the CESifo. They publish in the leading journals of Economics and many of the top journals of the different subfields of the discipline. They also serve as coeditors and associate editors of these journals.

Many GSE affiliated professors have received public recognition for both the volume and quality of their research. They are also highly sought consultants, regularly advising governments, international organizations, financial institutions, and corporations.

The following is a current list of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics Affiliated Professors. The second column specifies recent graduate teaching activities, either in the Barcelona GSE master degrees or in one of the School's two reference doctoral programs: the Graduate Program in Economics, Finance and Management (GPEFM) at the UPF, or the International Doctorate of Economic Analysis (IDEA) at the UAB.
